You may have noticed I have been playing hooky over the last 2 weeks - I've been attending open days, speaking with suppliers and distributors about upcoming releases, innovation in the industry, and networking with other store owners and managers.
I was lucky enough to speak directly with publishers and suppliers of some of our biggest sellers, including Magic: The Gathering, Digimon, Ultimate Guard, Dragon Shield, and Flesh & Blood!
Attending these events has filled me with ideas on new products to stock, events to run, and sales channels to explore, all to support and benefit our local community, and continue to be your go-to store for everything hobby.
Our main support this last year has been a group of like-minded, strong, and funny women who have dubbed themselves "Dames in games", which has created a respite of femme energy in a male-dominated (and focused) industry.
We feel incredibly blessed to have such a strong community both in-store and at an ownership level, knowing everyone has been in our shoes, and one day we'll be in theirs is a great feeling.
